We added the antiqued mirrored panels to the four corners of the room to add depth and interest. I designed custom sconces to coordinate with the existing chandeliers.
This project involved a lot of recovering of furniture, new rug, new curtains and throw cushions.
One of the first things I did in this project was to refinish the concrete floors in the carriage house. I first had them stained and then I designed a large-scale stencil and had it custom cut. I then had the pleasure of hand painting it onto the floor. Nice to have these creative projects!

Shadyside is a small private walled community in Houston's Art District. Most of the homes in this historic neighbourhood were built in the early 20th century. I was honoured when asked to work on one of these fine homes as one of my early projects.
